Connect

UNH Residence Halls come equipped with high-speed Ethernet. Connect an Ethernet cable between your computer’s Ethernet port and the orange data jack in your room. Note: Ethernet cables and phone cords are not the same. Ethernet cables can be purchased at the UNH Computer Store.

Configure

Find your operating system listed below and follow the steps to ensure that your computer is set to automatically obtain an IP (internet protocol) address.

• Mac OS X
• Windows XP
• Windows Vista
• Windows 7

Register Your Computer

Open a browser, such as Internet Explorer or Safari. If you are not registered, your computer should automatically go to the UNH Network Registration page. If your computer does not automatically redirect, go to register.unh.edu. Follow the on-screen instructions. If you are unsuccessful at registering your computer, please call the IT Service Desk at 603-862-4242.
