MyUNH/Blackboard

Blackboard is the University’s online course management system. Blackboard delivers course-related materials via the Web and gives you access to online discussion groups, live chat rooms, and campus organizations.

MyUNH/Blackboard is located at blackboard.unh.edu.

BEFORE USING BLACKBOARD

To find your username and setup your password, visit blackboard.unh.edu.
Click on the Login Help tab.
Click on the New User? link.

Logging into Blackboard

Go to blackboard.unh.edu.
Click the Login button.
Enter your Blackboard username and password and click Login.

Verify your Personal Information

Verify your Personal Information stored in Blackboard. Your name in Blackboard will show as your name in your Blackboard courses. Your email address stored in Blackboard will be used when email is sent from within Blackboard courses.

Login to Blackboard.
Go to My Places at the top of the page, and click Personal Information.
Select Edit Personal Information.
Correct any information, if necessary, then click the Submit button.

UNH > MyUNH Tab

Review information modules, such as Blackboard System Notices (which shows when Bb will be unavailable), Technology @UNH, as well as student-focused modules.
Review links to additional UNH-specific services that may appear in the UNHTools box at the left.

Blackboard Courses

Use the Courses tab under the UNH institution tab (UNH > Courses) to view your Blackboard courses.
Note: Not all courses will use Blackboard. Verify with your instructor if and how Blackboard will be used.
Courses generally will not appear on your list until the Friday before semester start. If you add a course late, allow a day or two for processing.

Parent Portal

Create a Parent Portal account for your parents/guardians so they may pay your UNH bills.

Log into Blackboard.
Click on the UNH >Webcat/Services tab.
Click Continue under Parent Portal.
Click the Add button and follow the onscreen instructions.

I can’t login to Blackboard…

Make sure your caps lock key is not on. Passwords are case sensitive.
Visit the Login Help tab in Blackboard and select the ‘Need Help Logging In?’ link to reset your password.
Mac Users: Use your mouse to click on Login buttons in Blackboard instead of using the Enter key.
Visit Blackboard’s list of compatible browsers.

My parents forgot their Parent Portal username (or password)…

Have your parent go to the Blackboard Login Help tab and use the Forgotten Password links, listed under the Parent Portal section. Or, students can reset their parent’s account under the UNH >Webcat/Services tab.
